The PETRONAS Dulang offshore platform suffered a recurring problem with its Gas Compressor, resulting in significant costs due to unplanned downtime, production deferment and frequent maintenance activities. Client engineers performed standard reliability analysis taking 4,000 man-hours to identify the cause of the failure.
After the analysis was complete, engineers and subject matter experts had little confidence that their plan to rectify the fault during the shutdown window would be successful.
VROC ingested one year of a historical data set provided by the Dulang Team.
